Melissa Gilbert Joins ‘When Harry Met Rehab’ Cast; Frank Ferrante Reprises Groucho

The new commercial production of “When Harry Met Rehab” by Spike Manton and Harry Teinowitz has added another familiar name to its cast.

Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls Wilder on the NBC series “Little House on the Prairie” from 1974 to 1983, will join Dan Butler (known to audiences for playing Bob “Bulldog” Briscoe in the NBC sitcom “Frasier”) in the show, based loosely on the real-life experiences of Teinowtiz as a Chicago sports radio personality. “When Harry Met Rehab” previews Nov. 24 and opens Dec. 5 at the Greenhouse Theater Center, 2257 N. Lincoln Ave.; visit whenharrymetrehab.com or call the Greenhouse box office at 773-404-7336.

In other theater news, Frank Ferrante, best known for playing the MC character Caesar for Teatro ZinZanni in Chicago’s Loop, will return to his famed role of Groucho Marx for one night only at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Ferrante has performed his ”An Evening With Groucho” more than 3,000 times in more than 500 cities. On this occasion, he’ll work in the ZinZanni tent in the Loop (at the Cambria Hotel, 32 W.
